Dear Parents,
Welcome to Burr Intermediate School! Our school currently serves 875 students in third, fourth and fifth grade and enrolls students who live in the Commack School District North of Rt. 25. As a staff, our goal is to provide a structured and caring school environment with a focus on student learning and engaging instruction. Character education and high academic standards for all students is a top priority. Building and supporting student literacy and math skills is a foundation for future success.
Burr houses a total of 33 elementary classrooms and is an outstanding facility that supports programs in the arts, music and physical education. Parent involvement is encouraged and appreciated as we work as partners to provide our children with the very best educational experience possible.
