Aims of the Program include:
Encourages a personal appreciation of literature & develop an understanding of the techniques used in literary criticism
Introduces students to a range of literary works of different periods, genres, styles and contexts
Broadens students’ perspective through study of works from other cultures and languages
Develops students’ powers of expression  and ability to engage in detailed analysis of written text

Individual Oral Commentary on an extract, chosen by the teacher, from a Part 2 work studied: 15 minutes
Individual Oral Presentation of a topic, chosen by the candidate, based on Part 4 work(s): 10 -15 minutes
