Commack Schools will offer Driver Education in the Fall of 2008. We are
currently accepting registration for the Fall semester for only 11th and
12th grade Commack High School students in good standing who meet the
requirements as of September 9, 2008 (A copy of student’s permit must be on
file by this date.) We are unable to accept 10th grade students in the
program, regardless of age.
Commack School District’s Fall Driver Education Program will begin classroom
instruction on September 9, 2008 and driving instruction will begin
Saturday, September 13, 2008. This program is not part of the regular high
school program and students will not receive high school credit for
completing it. The cost of the Driver Education Program will be $410.00 per
student. Classroom Driver Education instruction will be provided by Commack
teachers. The driving portion will be provided by an instructor from a
contracted Driver Education School.
Seniors will receive priority placement. Please fill out the registration
form and return it with your check for $410.00 made payable to Commack
Schools. Your registration will be processed on an availability basis. We
try to honor your 1st request. We require 2nd and 3rd choices (which may
also be used). Once a class time has been confirmed; changes will not be
permitted.
All forms must be returned by MAIL, to the address on the
registration form. Registration forms
postmarked later than June 27, 2008 may not be able to be processed.
Please be
sure to print the registration form to be mailed and the Driver Education
calendar for your personal information. Any changes to the calendar or
announcements regarding times, classes or locations will be posted on the
website, on the Driver Education bulletin board and by announcements at the
High School.
Sincerely,
