International Science & Engineering Fair Winner
 

Commack High School junior Jason Gross won a third place grand award in the International Science and Engineering Fair sponsored by the Intel Corporation. The third place prize of $1,000 was awarded for his project, "Circuits Over Sets of Natural Numbers." In order to qualify, Jason won first place in the New York State Science and Engineering Fair mathematics competition and was chosen to compete with four other top NYS winners that advanced to the international project.

Jason also is the recipient of the 2008 Suffolk County Mathematics Teachers Association Outstanding Junior Award, and an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate.
