Welcome to the
Commack Music Department Website! This site will provide the
students, their families, and the community a greater
understanding and awareness of the music program in our
schools. Included in the website are
links to the various
music programs found at each building, links to local, state,
and national organizations and affiliates, a photo page,
information pertaining to NYSSMA, and a district-wide calendar
listing various music concerts/events that take place throughout
the school year.
Commack High School was selected by the GRAMMY Foundation as a 2012 GRAMMY Signature School Semi-Finalist! This is the sixth consecutive year that the department was selected as a finalist for this prestigious award. Commack was one of three school districts throughout Suffolk County selected as a semi-finalist. Congratulations for this recognition is due to the District's efforts in providing all students, Kindergarten through twelfth grade, an enriching, valuable music education experience.
