Boys JV Basketball Finishes with 18-2 Record!

The Boys JV Basketball team just finished their spectacular season with an overall outstanding record of 18-2. They went 5-1 in their Non-League schedule and 13-1 in their League 1 regular season schedule, which earned them a League 1 Championship!

Sophomores on the roster are: Nick Amoruso, Sean Coveny, Matt Cozetti, Zach Feingold, Tim McHugh, Justin Meisel, Christian Nesbitt, Will Pizzolo, Jordan Scott, Drew Silverman and Bryan Tompkins

Freshman on the roster are: Tommy Abbott, Blaise Cammarada, Matt Finch, Nick Greco, Spencer Malloy, Aidan McCarty and Travis Newman

Team Captains, Drew Silverman, Sean Coveny and Bryan Tompkins lead their team by example, day in and day out, and demanded a 100% work rate each day; be it practices or games. The rest of the team responded accordingly and pushed each other to be their best. The team's selflessness and ability to put the "We" before the "Me", allowed them to share the ball and the responsibilities that come along with being a top team in Suffolk County.

The team's leading scorer was Bryan Tompkins who had multiple games of 20+ points. Sophomore, Nick Amoruso, also had most of his games in double digits and helped Bryan lead the way on the scoreboard. Freshman Spencer Malloy, lead the team in rebounds in his first year on the court and played each game the way it is supposed to be played. Drew Silverman and Nick Amoruso helped Spencer on the boards, on both ends of the court, and created havoc for opposing coaches. Sophomore Matt Cozetti, lead the team in assists and steals and was a major contributor on both sides of the ball, in every game this season.

Coach Moran stated, "I am so proud of all of these guys. Their relentlessness on the court at practice and games was astounding! They just don't quit or back down from a challenge. And aside from their on the court passion, these kids are as good, if not better, in their classrooms and in the community. All of their teachers love them and they are in a multitude of clubs/organizations. These kids excel in all they do. They are a group of student-athletes who you just know will succeed in anything they do and I am proud to be their coach."
