Commack Middle School Principal Announcement
On July 19, 2018, Anthony Davidson was appointed as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in the Locust Valley School District.  As you know, Mr. Davidson is currently the principal of Commack Middle School, and has worked in our District for twenty years. Mr. Davidson will be at the school assuring things continue to run smoothly and will work with the administrative team to assure things are ready for the opening of school.

The District has already begun the process necessary to identify a highly qualified individual to serve as the new principal of Commack Middle School.  We are optimistic that a candidate will be identified for appointment and announced prior to the start of school in September.  We will be posting the position immediately, and a committee will be appointed to interview all candidates. The process will then continue with further interviews by the Superintendent and the Board of Education, until a perfect fit is found to lead our Middle School.

In the meantime, we have an incredible team of administrators and staff members at the Middle School and in District Office who will make sure that our students will have everything they need to succeed when school opens in September. We will let you know as soon as a decision is made.

An outstanding educator and instructional leader, Mr. Davidson will be missed and we wish him nothing but the best in his new role, and thank him for his many years of service, leadership, and dedication to the children of Commack.
