What is PTA Council?
PTA Council is comprised of members from each of Commack's nine PTA units, as well as having its own executive board and committees.  Council facilitates communication between the PTA and the school district.  Members attend monthly meetings, sharing information, ideas, and concerns with each other and administration.  We provide support to the local units, and provide leadership training through workshops and county sponsored PTA events. Council hosts the annual Founder's Day Dinner that is held in February, and also hosts roundtable meetings with the Superintendent of Schools, Board of Education members, and the Council President.  The Commack PTA Council also provides scholarships to graduating seniors, and coordinates the many PTA  committees in the District.

Please support your school's PTA by becoming a member.  Children benefit greatly through parental involvement in the schools, and so does our community.  You can make a difference!  PTA is committed to advocating for our children and strengthening the ties between home and school, and it starts with membership in your school's PTA and SEPTA.    Please read our Education Updates for the latest legislation to affect our students.
