Mathematics

Most kindergarten children learn to:         

• classify and compare information by color, shape, size and number,

• compare sets of objects,

• read and write numbers 0-15 and count forward and backward,

• count from 0-31,

• understand numbers and numerals,                

• understand the comparison of half/whole,     

• combine objects to find the sum/difference,

• understand concepts of money and time related to everyday life experiences,           

• use terms heavier than and lighter than, more than, less than, larger than, smaller than, farther than, nearer.
