Meeting Minutes

Members Present:  Barry Cohen, Kristen Fontane, Ben Leggio, Ida Mayer, Janet Studley,  Shannon Tice, Jude Budd-Walsh, Dorothy White, Lorraine Yovino

Members Absent:  Janine DiGirolamo

-         The meeting began at 3:45 p.m.

-         Minutes of 4/14 approved.

-         Discussed the successful visit of a “guide dog”, from the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown, to RH; RH will continue this fund raising initiative next year.

-         Warm up to Reading – the receiving hospital for donated books will be determined next year.

-         Discussed initiatives for 2008-2009; continue Family Fitness Night and program to benefit the Guide Dog Foundation; discussed Mr. Leggio’s suggestion to auction children’s artwork as a fund raiser; can also be an opportunity for character development.

-         The PTA has selected their SBMT members for 2008-2009: Mrs. Mayer,

      Mrs. Gruvman and Mrs. Laudicina.

-         Continuing SBMT members for 2008-2009 are: Kristen Fontane, Ben Leggio,

      Janet Studley, Shannon Tice and Dorothy White.

-         New members to represent Instructional Support Team and Special Area Teachers will be chosen.

-         All new members will be welcomed at June 9^th meeting.

-         Jude Budd-Walsh will meet with Mrs. Studley to discuss the SBMT yearly report.
