Internal Assessment (IA) Information

REMEMBER: The work submitted for internal assessment must be your own work. According to IB, "Each investigation is an individual piece of work based on different data collected or measurements generated." 
  • The internal assessment task will be one scientific investigation conducted Year 2, however the research question will be designed during Year 1 and will be graded as a lab grade. The Final IA, submitted Year 2, is worth 20% of the final IB grade.
  • The five assessment criteria are personal engagement, exploration, analysis, evaluation and communication.
