Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
I trust you had a restful and enjoyable summer break. As we approach September, we eagerly anticipate our students' return, ready to embark on a new and enriching learning journey within our school community. Our campuses have been transformed into vibrant and inviting spaces, thanks to the hard work of our facilities team and the numerous enhancements made to our buildings, playgrounds, and fields over the summer months. These improvements are all part of the bond project initiated and approved by our residents in 2019. I am pleased to highlight that this work is primarily State funded and carries no additional cost to our taxpayers.
Here in Commack, our commitment to advancing academics, enhancing facilities, and enriching the student experience remains steadfast. Our dedicated administrators and teachers have invested significant effort into crafting a curriculum that fosters project-based, hands-on learning experiences. Our primary objective is to equip students with the tools they need to thrive in their future pursuits, empowering them to chart their own paths to success based on their unique interests. We are resolute in our aim to expose our students to a diverse range of experiences, enabling them to apply their acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios.
As I embark on my second year as your superintendent, I am committed to creating opportunities that best prepare our students for life beyond graduation. Our International Baccalaureate® Career-related Programme (IBCP) now presents four distinct pathways for students in grades 11 and 12. Alongside this, we offer advanced placement, college credit courses, vocational training, and internship opportunities to provide students with valuable insights into various fields of study and potential career paths before transitioning to college.
