Girls Basketball League 2 Champions!
Girls Basketball League 2 Champions!
The Commack Girls Varsity Basketball team clinched the League 2 Title last night with their win over Lindenhurst.  The girls have learned to win in so many different ways as a family in the court. They have overcome injuries and illness and keep moving forward. Coach Moran said, “These girls have prioritized camaraderie, team building, and a family-first mentality. They love each other and respond to adversity accordingly.”  He also credits his tremendous coaching staff for all they do on and off the court for the girls. Way to GO COUGARS!
The ladies finished and UNDEFEATED season 20-0! First playoff game is 2/24 at noon @Commack! Be there!

Northwell Health February Newsletter
Northwell Health February Newsletter
Lots of heart in the February Northwell School Mental Health Newsletter! Taking care of your heart tips and information during American Heart Month are included in this issue, as well as and workshop opportunities. Sign up for virtual Lunch & Learn session on Competition & Academic Burnout or Risk Behavior in Teens. These workshops are dedicated to supporting parents, such as the series on School Avoidance. Register for the evening virtual "Health Starts at Home" series with Cohen Children's Medical Center. Learn about raising confident kids, gender and sexuality, and more. Commack's partnership with Northwell Health gives our families access to a dedicated Behavioral Health Center which will provide timely access to mental health services including evaluations, referrals for counseling, and immediate treatment. The Northwell Behavioral Health Center will be open during winter break.

Please be reminded that Northwell Behavioral Health Center is more than a resource for a person in crisis. The highlight of the services offered is that they assist families to find providers (doctors, therapists, psychiatrists, and more), who take their insurance. The center is exclusively available for students of partnering districts and is located at 2171 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 345, in Commack.

Parent Resource Center Website
Parents! We have the help you need! Whether it's a family crisis, behavior difficulties, bullying, stress, or mental health, we have resources at your fingertips. Commack's Parent Resource Center website was made with the mindset of offering parents and families a "one stop shop" for information and resources that are helpful at home and in times where school is not in session. The site also serves as a hub where parents and families can find out about different workshops, information about our Northwell Partnership, and more. Updated monthly to assist you with all this and more. Click here!

Regeneron Semifinalist at CHS!!!

Jonathan Z. was named a Semifinalist in the Regeneron Science Talent Search, the nation’s most prestigious competition for students. Jonathan is one of only 300 student scholars chosen nationwide and internationally! His project: "Efficient Differentiation of Sleep-Related Hypermotor Epilepsy and REM-Sleep Behavior Disorder via Neural Aperiodic Components."
