Duties include, but are not limited to:

•      Work collaboratively with the Director of Counseling Services, High School Administration, other staff, parents, and students regarding aspects of test administration;
•      Recruit and train qualified test administration staff;
•      Ensure the security of test materials from their arrival until their return;
•      Communication with College Board and ACT, Inc. as necessary;
•      Inventory test materials upon arrival;
•      Prepare testing rosters and address inquiries;
•      Plan for the efficient use of facilities;
•      Supervise the activities of test administration;
•      Supervise the admission of students;
•      And, complete and return all forms and test materials.

The Coordinator of Special Education, Grades 6-12 is responsible for:

 

Compliance with Part 200 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education and Board of Education policies as they relate to children with disabilities;
Coordinating all special education services and program implementation of the Committee(s) on Special Education for the secondary level;
Scheduling, staffing and maintaining state-required ratios for all the special education programs in the middle school and high school;
Supervision, observations and evaluations of special education teachers, related service providers, teacher assistants and teacher aides;
Developing and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff regarding all special education matters;
Working cooperatively with Building Principals and other District administrators to oversee all special education programs, services and staff in grades 6 -12;
And, serves as Chair of the Committee on Special Education.
