Commack won the Long Island Championship for the first time ever on June 6 with a 21-0 season! The team will advance to the state semifinal on June 10 at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. GO COUGARS!!

Captain Matt S. was the first one to score a point for our team with a 6-2, 6-1 win at 3rd singles, then Eddie L. scored our next point with a win at 1st singles over an all state player with a 6-1, 6-1 scoreline. Saharsh P. and Jeffrey B. scored our next point with a 7-6, 6-3 win at third doubles.

With the match tied at 3-3 and only 1 court still playing we had over 100 people watching the youngest player on our team in the most difficult situation possible.  Eric B. came up with a huge win for our team at 4th singles and clinched the long island championship. 6-1, 6-7, 6-4. He was definitely the hero of the day!
