CHS' Military-Bound Seniors Honored

CHS honored seven soon-to-be-graduates on Wednesday morning who are putting country above self.

Joined by U.S. Marines sergeant Christopher Rosarioventura, Air Force technical sergeant Nathaniel Miles, Army major Brewster Tisson, retired Navy lieutenant Francis Martin from congressman Nick LaLotta’s office, legislator Robert Trotta, superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox and high school administrators, the seniors and their families were recognized at the annual CHS Military Breakfast.

Senior James C. is headed to the Marines, while Anthony S. and Lucas M. are headed to the Air Force, Brandon Y. is headed to the Navy and Emma H., Ethan D. and Jay B. are headed to the Army.

Legislator Trotta, who served as keynote speaker, praised the seniors for their commitment to America.

“You are doing something that most people never do,” he said. “You made a decision to stand up for our country.”

Dr. Cox drew on three generations of his family serving in the military to praise the students.

“I know how successful you will be,” he said, “and I want you to know from the bottom of our hearts how proud we are.”
