It is with great honor and privilege to announce that our Commack Boy's Winter Track & Field Team was crowned League 2 Champions last night! The league features some of the best teams in Suffolk County and in the state. Each athlete, in their individual events, performed to the best of their abilities to help win the team championships. 

 

Commack had multiple League champions, including Andrew R. in the 3200m Run, Brett A. in both the 55m Hurdles and the Long Jump, the 4x800 relay team, and Max S. in the Shot Put! Commack also had multiple medalists, including Silver medals for Giancarlo D. (600m race), Andrew R. (1600m race), Ejike O. (55m Hurdles), Brett A. (Triple Jump), and Mike I. (Shot Put). Bronze medals were earned by Asher T. (55m Dash), the 4x200 relay, and Giancarlo D. (High Jump). Please join us in congratulating this outstanding team win!

 

On Saturday night, our Girl's team competed in the League 2 Championship meet as well. The girls had strong performances throughout the meet. Commack was led by Allison S. who earned a Silver medal in the 55m Hurdles, and a Bronze Medal in both the High Jump and the Long Jump events. Julie T. also earned a Bronze medal in the Shot Put. 

 

The Commack Track & Field teams will look to expand upon their strong performances at the Large School County Championship meets in 2 weeks. Wish them luck as the continue their push to represent Commack at the State Meet!
