Google Classroom Weekly Student Summaries
Dear Commack Families,
The Commack School District recognizes the importance of parents/guardians being active participants in their child’s education. As we further our eLearning platform, we are happy to announce that all parents/guardians will have the opportunity to receive weekly email summaries showing their child’s progress in their Google Classroom(s). These weekly email summaries will include missing work, upcoming work, and class activities such as announcements, questions, and assignments recently posted by teachers.
Over the course of the next two days, parents will receive an email invitation, using the email address provided in the Parent Portal. Once this invitation is accepted, parents/guardians will begin to receive weekly email summaries of their child’s work.
If you have not received the invitation by the end of the day on Saturday, May 16, please check your spam folder. If you still have not received an email invite after checking your spam folder, please contact your school’s Google Technical Support email address, which can be found on the Commack School District website or by clicking here eLearning Resources.
We anticipate that this feature will prove to be helpful for you and your family.
A note for Commack High School and Commack Middle School students:
It has come to our attention that students have been trying to use Gmail as a way to communicate with their teachers. Students do not have access to Gmail at this time. Students should continue to check and use their Office 365 email account for school-related messages.
