New!! Special Education Students Update

Dear Families,

We understand this is a unique time for all of us. We are hopeful this time is allowing you the opportunity to slow down and reconnect with your family.  The Special Education Department has been working diligently to ensure we have an appropriate plan in the event of a prolonged closure. All district administrators have been working collaboratively and engaging staff in continuous conversations about appropriate plans for all students.

The Special Education Department is in the process of creating an E-learning plan for all special education students.  We anticipate that all students will receive support from their current providers and all services will shift to this platform.  The specifics of these services will be communicated through case managers and service providers as we move forward.

All meetings (CSE, CPSE and annual reviews) that were scheduled between March 16th and March 31st will be rescheduled for a future date.  In the event schools require a prolonged closure, the Special Education Department will use a virtual platform to continue with all scheduled CPSE meetings as of April 1st and all CSE and annual review meetings as of April 6th.  This virtual platform will allow mandated participants to be in attendance.  Further information regarding this plan will be communicated should we need to conduct meetings virtually.

Please know we are here to help and answer any question you may have. The special education department at Hubbs Administration building will be listening to all voicemails and answering emails throughout this time.

The health and safety of our students, families, and staff remain out utmost priority.  Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
