North Ridge Debuts Novel Vending Machine
A new vending machine at North Ridge dispenses healthy reading options.

Principal Katherine Rihm and superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new book vending machine in the primary school's lobby on Monday morning.

The vending machine is compliments of the school's PTA.

Second graders will have the chance to choose one complimentary book before the end of the school year, since they are graduating and moving on to Burr.

Beginning in 2024-25, all students at North Ridge will select two complimentary books a school year, including one on their birthday.

Painted on the wall atop the vending machine is a fitting message: "A book is a gift you can open again and again."
