Over twenty-seven years ago, the Commack Music Department established a Music Department Scholarship in memory of the late Donald P. Sites.  Mr. Sites was the first Director of Music for the Commack Schools.

            Mr. Sites led the Commack Music Department through its major growth years and was instrumental in developing an outstanding school music program in New York State. Due to his efforts, the children of Commack continue to enjoy the many musical opportunities offered throughout the district.

            The past twenty-seven years have clearly established this scholarship as a prestigious annual award.  It is presented to graduating music students who meet the highest standards of service and performance and who plan to continue their musical studies.

The scholarship continually receives funding by gracious donations from many people in our schools and community.  We would ask that you consider donating to the Music Department Scholarship Fund so that we can ensure its continuation.
