Trio of CMS Eighth Graders Go Above and Beyond for Ronald McDonald House

For their community project, CMS eighth graders Anthony C., Gianluca L. and Jason T. organized a fundraiser to raise awareness about food allergies.
They collected allergy-friendly snacks to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park.
The New Hyde Park location houses and feeds 42 families each day while their children are in the hospital. Some of these families have food allergies, but safe food options are not always available.
In addition to the snack donations, the group also raised money, which they will use to purchase more allergy-friendly snacks. The proceeds from this fundraiser will help ensure that families with food allergies staying at the Ronald McDonald House have safe snacks to eat — easing their worries during a difficult time.
