Commack High School has been designated a School of Excellence by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association for the 2024-25 school year.

Launched nearly a decade ago, the School of Excellence Award celebrates schools that exemplify a commitment to success in the classroom while balancing the demands of athletic participation.

The School of Excellence designation is awarded to schools that had at least 75 percent of their varsity teams earn the Scholar-Athlete team award.

Scholar-Athlete teams have at least three-quarters of their student-athletes with a minimum 90 GPA.
