Burr celebrated Unity Day, the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month, in style on Wednesday.

Students brought blankets and headed outdoors to conclude the school day at "BurrStock" as CHS' Jazz Messengers took the stage to play Woodstock-era tunes with the unity theme.

Principal Dan Ciccone, assistant principal Jeanne Powers and other staff members dressed in throwback attire.

The Jazz Messengers concluded their performance with the Monkees' "I'm A Believer," which the students had been learning in Amy Dank's music class.

Ciccone, addressing the students, told them about the message of the day: "No matter what goes on, you're never alone.”
