Wood Park Welcomes Community Heroes
Wood Park welcomed first responders and other essential members of our community to the primary school on Thursday for its Community Hero Day.
Parents and other relatives who work as police officers, firefighters, doctors, registered nurses and utility lineman were among those who visited classrooms to share details about their occupations.
The visitors also explained tools they use in their important roles, including a fire department thermal imaging system and utility worker device that detects active electrical emissions.
