Sawmill Students Learn Art of Chinese Dance

Sawmill students learned the art of Chinese dance from a visiting troupe on Thursday morning.
In addition to appreciating the dancers' choreography and culture, the students also had the chance to participate.
Everyone in the audience learned movements to traditional Chinese dances with their hands while remaining in their seats. Then, selected students had the chance to join the troupe on the stage for ribbon dancing.
The troupe's performance included the Peacock Dance, which has been performed for 2,000 years and originated in southwest China.
