Indian Hollow Kindergarteners Get VIP Treatment at Smithtown Library

Indian Hollow kindergarten classes began a week of VIP tours of the Commack branch of the Smithtown Library on Tuesday morning.
After the kindergartners got settled in the community room, librarian Wendy Johnson read from the children's books, "Sneezy the Snowman" and "The Luckiest Snowball."
The primary students then had a tour of the three floors, with the last stop — the children's room — definitely the most popular.
The kindergarteners enjoyed a scavenger hunt in the room, then partook in the games.
They also learned about the programs the library offers, from cooking and decorating cupcakes to animal visits and magic shows. They also learned about how their adults can borrow from the "library of things," which includes items such as robots, microscopes, and lawn games.
