District Strings Night A Hit

Musicians from fifth grade through the high school wowed the audience at the district's annual Strings Night at CMS on Thursday evening.
A combined Burr-Sawmill orchestra kicked off the concert, followed by the CMS select orchestra and then the CHS ICA Chamber Ensemble.
All of the musicians then returned to the stage for a joint final performance led by guest clinician Eric B. Davis.
Davis composed the piece, "Prophecy," for the students to perform at the concert. A freelance musician and educator, he has contributed to recent projects including the Lincoln Center's 2025 revival of Ragtime.
