District Rallies for Veterans at Valentine's Day
When the call went out, students from throughout the Commack School District flooded the district office with heartfelt Valentine's Day cards to be shared with local veterans.
And on Thursday, veterans representing the Northport VA Medical Center visited superintendent Dr. Jordan Cox and district clerk Debbie Virga to collect the overwhelming number of cards.
The cards, which thank veterans for their service and contain student artwork, will be shared at the Northport VA as part of the Valentine for a Vet program.
