Wood Park Instructional Aide AnnMarie Brignati Honored with Commack STAR Award

On Tuesday morning, the Wood Park faculty meeting took on a celebratory tone as Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jordan Cox presented the prestigious Commack STAR Award to Instructional Aide AnnMarie Brignati.
During the presentation, Dr. Cox praised Brignati as an “invaluable part of the Wood Park team,” highlighting her exceptional dedication to both the school and its students. Known for her incredible flexibility, Brignati never hesitates to step in wherever she is needed most, whether she is assisting in a busy classroom, managing the lunchroom, or providing dedicated 1:1 student support.
“She is a team player and has a huge heart,” Dr. Cox noted in his address to the faculty. “She truly loves her students as if they were her own.”
Beyond her professional reliability and quick ability to learn new skills, Brignati is celebrated for the warmth she brings to the building. Every day, she arrives with a smile, a great sense of humor, and a contagious positive energy that uplifts the entire staff. Her colleagues echo this sentiment, according to Dr. Cox, any teacher who has had the opportunity to work with Brignati in their classroom cannot say enough good things about her.
“We are truly blessed to have her at Wood Park and as part of the Commack Family,” Dr. Cox concluded.
The Commack STAR Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of staff members who go above and beyond for their school community, a standard that AnnMarie Brignati clearly embodies each and every day. Congratulations!
