Rolling Hills Kindergartners Visit Commack Public Library

Kindergartners from Rolling Hills visited the Commack Public Library on Thursday morning for an educational field trip. The morning began with a “hello song” and a guided tour of the facility, where the children learned how to navigate the aisles and locate different types of books.
The kindergartners also participated in a craft activity by coloring their own owl-themed necklaces. Several of the children suggested that the completed crafts would actually serve as excellent bookmarks. The trip concluded with a group read-aloud session featuring three library-themed picture books: “Read It, Don’t Eat It,” “Goldie Socks and the Three Libearians,” and “The Midnight Library.”
