Sawmill Pay It Forward Club Students Share Compassion During Kindness Week
Members of the Sawmill Pay It Forward Club recently celebrated Kindness Week with a clear focus on caring for others. The students centered their activities around the theme “Be Kind and Take Care of Each Other.” They spent the week participating in several local initiatives designed to support the community.
Students created a giant Kindness Quilt to illustrate what compassion means to them. The school also hosted a Blanket and Towel Drive. Students collected new and used items to support local animals in need.
The club unveiled the completed quilts on P.S. I Love You Day to share their positive message. Students hope these activities inspire acts of compassion that spread far beyond the walls of Sawmill.
