Dr. Cox visited Mrs. Butler’s third grade class Thursday morning for a special read aloud of Jory John’s “The Couch Potato.”

Throughout the story, Dr. Cox led the students in a thoughtful discussion about October’s Commack Champion trait theme, “Balanced.”

Together, Dr. Cox and the class explored what it truly means to be balanced, connecting the book’s message to building healthy daily habits, managing screen time, and staying active.
