Jeanette Collette Selected as One of 100 Educators Nationwide for Society for Science Conference

Commack High School Research Coordinator Jeanette Collette was selected as one of only 100 high school educators nationwide to attend the Society for Science Research Teachers Conference in Washington, D.C.
Sponsored entirely by the Society for Science, the peer-led weekend workshop gathered a select group of educational STEM leaders to share best practices and collaborate on strategies for guiding students through authentic scientific research and independent competitions.
During a closing workshop, Collette presented alongside Great Neck Research Facilitator Jessica York to discuss methods for supporting students as they find their passion for science research. The inclusive science research program at CHS was featured as a national model for other educators in attendance.
Collette brings invaluable insights, resources, and mentorship opportunities directly back to CHS classrooms to inspire the next generation of student scientists. Congratulations Jeanette!
